Course Description

This course serves as an introduction to usability principles and user-centered interface design. Students learn the fundamentals of design and gain practical experience with visual layout. Students explore design concepts, typography and color theory with regard to their use on the Web. Students also learn how to increase accessibility to alternate browsers, operating systems, platforms, and to those with disabilities using responsive design. Students apply these interface design concepts while learning how to create, manage, and publish websites using the WordPress Content Management System. Students plan and create websites, work with themes, format text, install plugins and customize CSS using WordPress.
