Course Description

This course focuses on the methods to collect, access, and retrieve and retain health data and medical records. These methods include master patient index, record identification and filing systems, record retention and disaster planning; electronic document management systems, data governance, health information exchange, health data registries, e.g., cancer registry; voice recognition, and management of medical transcription services.
