This course introduces and explores the dynamic nature of weather phenomena that impact our daily activities, travel, and industry. It covers atmospheric structure, clouds, precipitation, fronts, wind, storms, climate, and pollution. Topics include current issues ranging from aviation accidents and global warming to alternate energy sources. Beginning 14/FA, students registering for this course must also register for SCIE 1400L which is the laboratory component of the course.
