MATH 0960 Accelerated Beginning Algebra

Prerequisite

(1) Within two years prior to beginning the course, either successful completion of MATH 0910 or MATH 0930 with a grade of P, or MCC placement test

Course Description

This course is for students who need to review basic algebra skills. It is a fast-paced course that contains all of the content of both MATH 0930 Beginning Algebra Part I and MATH 0931 Beginning Algebra Part II in a single course. Topics include positive and negative real-numbers, solving linear equations and inequalities along with their applications, integer exponents, operations with polynomials, factoring, rational expressions, equations of lines, and graphing of equations and inequalities. NOTE: MATH 09XX courses carry credit for MCC only; the credit does not transfer nor does it apply toward graduation.
