Diesel Technology – Power Generation (DTPGO)

Award: Associate in applied science degree

Program location: Applied Technology Center

This degree option prepares students for a career in the growing diesel power generation field. This option is one of only a few nationally that allows students to get both diesel and alternative fuel engine training while learning AC power generation methods and distribution technologies.

Students who currently hold a Class A or Class B CDL may ask for a waiver of DESL 2301 and DESL 2310.

Students may not register for DESL 1210 Electricity and Electronics until they qualify by proper MCC testing procedures for entry into MATH 1240 or higher.
